17-Expressive Weaving, MPLS, Sat, Nov 18, 11-4pm
In this day long workshop, we will create colorful free-form weavings with vibrant yarn and fabric. Free form or expressive weaving is often described as relaxing and meditative, because there are few rules. Participants that attended the previous weaving class will be introduced to more advanced techniques. New weavers will start with the basics. When you arrive, looms will be set up, so that you can have plenty of class time to weave. We will have 5 hours of weaving time. We will break a half hour for lunch. There will be snacks and water provided, but please bring something for lunch. Beginners and advanced artists welcome.
Note: Artists must register with Artability to attend, because of the limited number of looms.

Continue to learn and grow in your Watercolor abilities. As you learn, you will motivate yourself as you see improvements with each painting. Interaction between teacher and student is encouraged. Instructor Mike Conroy will work with each artist as they have questions and individualize teaching to each artists' level. Beginners and advanced artists welcome.

2017 Creative Journaling, Sat, Oct 21, 1-4pm
In this monthly workshop, artists will explore forms of creative journaling. Each artist will receive an old book that they will reinvent into a journal by covering it with paintings, poems, collage, or drawings. Every week artists will be introduced to a new journaling medium or exercise. The format will provide an open environment for expression and reflection on past, present, and future. Over the course of the workshop, the book will become a work of art from cover to cover. These classes will take place on Saturdays in April. Artists are encouraged to attend all of the classes but not required!
