2019 Poetry Out Loud Sat Feb 23rd, 1-4pm Mpls
In this exploratory workshop, you get to play around with poetry. Performance poetry, often called spoken word, is part of the oral tradition. We'll pull from theater, spoken word and dance to speak softly and loudly, to move to the poem's rhythm, and emphasize with hand and body movements. The same poem might be intimate and quiet as a singer-songwriter or bombastic as a rock anthem.
